My cough finally seems to be fading, so I am hopeful that I can properly get my training back on track for the final three-week…

I had certainly planned to put some extra training in throughout January to get back on track after overindulging over the Christmas period, but I wasn’t planning on also having to do it following the Man Flu (a very serious health condition, as I am sure you are all aware!). I hope it didn’t get you too, but there certainly seems to have been a lot about this time around.

Knee injuries are common among athletes and active individuals, particularly those who engage in high-impact sports like skiing. For those who have previously suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, or who experience ongoing knee instability, participating in such activities can be daunting. Similarly, individuals with osteoarthritis often struggle with chronic knee pain that limits their daily activities. Fortunately, Ossur offers innovative solutions to support and protect the knee, enabling people to stay active with confidence. This article explores the benefits of the CTi3 knee brace for ACL injuries and the Unloader knee brace for osteoarthritis pain relief.

Training has been going well, consistency has been good, movement is improving but I am inwardly somewhat competitive. It felt like I needed something to aim for that would challenge me to firstly stay true to the course, but also to push me out of my comfort zone.

Que an evening out for a friend’s birthday, a few drinks in he announces he had signed up for the Brighton Half Marathon an event which I have previously run some 11 years or so ago. My result has always irked me, as I completed the race in 2 hours and 32 seconds. This included a wee stop, due to drinking far too much water pre-race in attempt to ensure I was hydrated! In short, I have always felt I should have completed it in sub 2 hours. Now perhaps it was the wine, but I felt compelled to sign up, so picked up my phone and with a few taps I was signed up…

State of the art new practice, with fantastic treatment rooms and highly skilled staff. Sam Pargeter treated my back and has made a huge difference. Highly recommended.

I’ve been seeing Sam and Georgie for lower back and SI joint pain, and they’ve completely changed the way I understand and look at the cause of my issue. I really needed that new perspective — understanding the why behind the pain is so important to me! We’ve started working on correcting things, and even just a week in, the difference is incredible. Thank you to the whole Health Hub team — I couldn’t recommend them enough!

I damaged my knee during the first game of cricket this season, Due to my lack of warming up and little exercise for the previous 6 months, the knee have lost its tone.
I was in crippling pain and could hardly bend it past 90 degrees.
It was suggested that I make an appointment with Martin.
From Martins bio, I could see that he was competent with sports injuries. Martin analysed the knee, prodded it, bent it and stretched it.
He informed me what damaged had occurred and what tissues were still OK.
After a deep knee massage, he asked me if I would like some acupuncture. This treatment was new to me and I was initially hesitant. Martin suggested that the needles would stimulate the healing process so I agreed. The sensation was strange but not too unpleasant.
I was given an exercise plan and agreed to return.
After three sessions, my knee was over 95% healed, I could hop on it and bend it as far as the undamaged knee.
Martin was very professional and I would be happy to recommend him to anybody with a knee injury.
Thank you for sorting out my knee.

I have had a wonderful sports massage from Claire Jonas. If you havent seen her before you should treat yourself. You won’t regret it.

I had my first treatment at The Health Hub recently – an Indian head massage with Tanya – and it was honestly one of the best massage therapies I’ve ever had. Tanya is so attentive and knowledgeable, and took time to understand what I was looking for. I felt completely renewed and relaxed afterwards. I will definitely be returning and would recommend Tanya and the Health Hub to anyone.

Highly recommended to anyone. Kirk was amazing not only knowledgable and encouraging when I felt super deflated but he took the time to create the best rehab plan for me. I injured my knee 12 weeks before my wedding and I thought I’d never be in a place to dance/ walk in heels in time but we did it so thank you!!!!

Visiting the team at The Health Hub is always a positive experience. Over 2-3 years, I have been treated by 3 different members of the team, with different specialties and I have felt totally at ease. All of the staff are friendly and approachable but very professional too and I feel the benefit after each visit.

I highly recommend the Health Hub – very friendly reception staff, lovely rooms with quality equipment and brilliant practitioners. I’ve seen Martin for physio to aid recovery from a torn ACL, and Sam for a Chiropractor appointment for neck/back pain. Both of them are excellent, and Sam sorted my very uncomfortable back issue in just one session. Well worth the money.

A fantastic sports massage by Claire! A first for me but certainly not the last. This is a game changer if you are in to hitting the gym hard! Highly recommend Claire, she helps you feel at ease if it’s your first time and if your not sure what to expect (this is not a casual massage, this is the real deal) as you can see from her profile she has lots of experience and is very professional.
