My cough finally seems to be fading, so I am hopeful that I can properly get my training back on track for the final three-week…
I had certainly planned to put some extra training in throughout January to get back on track after overindulging over the Christmas period, but I wasn’t planning on also having to do it following the Man Flu (a very serious health condition, as I am sure you are all aware!). I hope it didn’t get you too, but there certainly seems to have been a lot about this time around.
Knee injuries are common among athletes and active individuals, particularly those who engage in high-impact sports like skiing. For those who have previously suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury, or who experience ongoing knee instability, participating in such activities can be daunting. Similarly, individuals with osteoarthritis often struggle with chronic knee pain that limits their daily activities. Fortunately, Ossur offers innovative solutions to support and protect the knee, enabling people to stay active with confidence. This article explores the benefits of the CTi3 knee brace for ACL injuries and the Unloader knee brace for osteoarthritis pain relief.
Training has been going well, consistency has been good, movement is improving but I am inwardly somewhat competitive. It felt like I needed something to aim for that would challenge me to firstly stay true to the course, but also to push me out of my comfort zone.
Que an evening out for a friend’s birthday, a few drinks in he announces he had signed up for the Brighton Half Marathon an event which I have previously run some 11 years or so ago. My result has always irked me, as I completed the race in 2 hours and 32 seconds. This included a wee stop, due to drinking far too much water pre-race in attempt to ensure I was hydrated! In short, I have always felt I should have completed it in sub 2 hours. Now perhaps it was the wine, but I felt compelled to sign up, so picked up my phone and with a few taps I was signed up…

Testimonials
Excellent service, very professional and extremely knowledgeable practitioners. Highly recommended.
I have used the Health Hub for a number of treatments, from Acupuncture to regular sports massages. They have helped me massively with staying in top condition to compete in Strongman competitions
I have had ongoing plantar fasciitis for 6-8 months and my calf muscles were also very tight so I thought i would try a sports massage.
I booked Tina Towler for a 60 minutes session and she was amazing. Clearly one treatment is not a complete cure but it seriously helped. I am optimistic I will be walking pain free within a few more sessions. Phoning The Health Hub was the best thing I have done in 2023. They are now in my mobile favourites.
Absolutely amazing. Cured my muscular lower back pains. Tina is absolutely amazing. Has also given me some great advice for avoidance and general health improvement. Very relaxing and friendly environment. Cannot recommend enough
Having hobbled in to the Health Hub with a knee problem , the lovely Kirk the physio gave me acupuncture, which has reduced my pain, and I’m now walking further. I’m still having ongoing treatment and exercises. Fully recommend.
The staff are all lovely, kind and helpful. Lachlan is an excellent osteopath and sorts out my tense muscles and clicking out hip every time. A medical appointment to look forward to! Highly recommended
Jodie has been exceptional at helping me with all different aspects of my postnatal recovery. She is so knowledgeable, able to share information and practical help using cutting edge technology and research I would thoroughly recommend a check up with her, for anyone who’s going through pregnancy or birth, regardless of whether you feel you are currently experiencing acute symptoms.
I’ve been seeing Joe at the Health Hub for a few weeks and he has improved the issues with mobility in my neck and shoulder. Joe has also provided exercises to continue my rehab at home between the sessions which have been helpful too.
I have been suffering with a bad lower back for several years. After seeing Joe for chiropractic session I was shocked at the positive difference it made. Since then I’ve had follow up sessions with Joe where he has gone above and beyond to make sure I am doing OK and pain free. He’s amazing at what he does and I’m very grateful for his work.
