WHAT IS LYMPHATOUCH PRO?
LymphaTouch Pro is an advanced, non-invasive medical device originally developed in Finland and used by specialist physiotherapists and lymphoedema clinics across Europe.
It combines two therapeutic actions in a single treatment:
- Negative pressure (gentle suction) to lift, mobilise and soften scar and soft tissue
- High-frequency mechanical vibration to stimulate lymphatic flow and reduce restriction
This combination allows us to work on areas that can be difficult to mobilise manually, supporting recovery at tissue depths that hands alone cannot reach.
The Health Hub is one of very few clinics offering LymphaTouch Pro in Sussex, and one of a small number in the South East outside London.
HOW LYMPHATOUCH PRO WORKS
A treatment session combines manual scar therapy with the LymphaTouch Pro device. The device delivers controlled negative pressure with simultaneous high-frequency vibration, which helps:
- Lift and mobilise scar tissue
- Reduce adhesions between layers of tissue
- Improve lymphatic flow and reduce swelling
- Stimulate circulation
- Soften tight, raised or restrictive scars
- Support deeper tissue mobilisation
- Improve flexibility and range of movement
Settings are adjusted to your comfort level and the specific area being treated. Most patients describe the sensation as comfortable, with a gentle pulling and vibration.
LYMPHATOUCH PRO SCAR THERAPY
At The Health Hub we use the advanced LymphaTouch Pro device as part of scar rehabilitation and recovery.
The LymphaTouch Pro uses negative pressure therapy to help:
- Improve tissue mobility
- Reduce scar adhesions
- Improve lymphatic flow
- Reduce swelling and oedema
- Improve circulation
- Support post-surgical recovery
- Improve tissue flexibility
This can be particularly beneficial following:
- Caesarean section
- Breast surgery
- Orthopaedic procedures
- Post-operative swelling
- Persistent scar tightness
The LymphaTouch Pro allows us to combine modern technology with hands-on scar therapy and rehabilitation for a more comprehensive treatment approach.
WHAT CONDITIONS CAN LYMPHATOUCH PRO HELP WITH?
LymphaTouch Pro is used for a wide range of post-surgical and lymphatic conditions, including:
- Caesarean section scars
- Mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction scars
- Axillary cording after breast cancer surgery
- Abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) scars
- Hysterectomy and gynaecological surgery scars
- Orthopaedic surgery scars
- Post-operative swelling and oedema
- Lymphoedema (cancer-related or idiopathic)
- Persistent scar tightness
- Older restrictive scars
- Sports injury and trauma scars
If you have a scar that feels tight, restrictive, swollen or painful, or are recovering from surgery and want the best chance of full mobility and function, LymphaTouch Pro may be a valuable part of your rehabilitation.
LYMPHATOUCH PRO FOR C-SECTION RECOVERY
Following a caesarean section, scar tissue can develop in ways that affect your abdominal wall function, posture, pelvic floor and confidence long after the visible scar has healed.
LymphaTouch Pro is particularly effective for C-section scar recovery, combining gentle, comfortable scar mobilisation with lymphatic drainage to:
- Soften and flatten the scar
- Reduce adhesions deep in the tissue
- Improve sensation around the scar
- Reduce swelling and tightness
- Support pelvic floor and core rehabilitation
- Restore confidence returning to exercise
Most patients begin treatment from 6-8 weeks postnatally once the wound has fully healed, but it can be effective months or years later. We regularly treat C-section scars in women whose surgery was many years ago.

LYMPHATOUCH PRO FOR BREAST SURGERY RECOVERY
Following mastectomy, DIEP reconstruction, lumpectomy or axillary lymph node clearance, women often experience:
- Tight, painful scars across the chest or abdomen
- Cording (axillary web syndrome) running down the arm
- Restricted shoulder movement
- Swelling and lymphatic congestion
- Numbness or sensitivity around scars
LymphaTouch Pro is well established as a supportive therapy following breast cancer surgery. The gentle negative pressure and lymphatic stimulation help reduce cording, soften scar tissue, ease swelling and restore range of movement, often in areas that are uncomfortable to work on with hands alone.
Treatment is tailored to your stage of recovery and works alongside any care provided by your oncology, breast care or lymphoedema team.
LYMPHATOUCH PRO FOR ABDOMINAL & GENERAL SURGERY SCARS
LymphaTouch Pro is highly effective following abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), hysterectomy, laparoscopic procedures, hernia repair and other abdominal surgery, particularly where the scar feels tight, restrictive or affects movement.
It can help:
- Soften the scar and reduce adhesions
- Restore core activation and abdominal wall function
- Reduce swelling and post-operative oedema
- Improve flexibility and posture
- Support return to exercise
We can begin treatment as soon as the surgical wound has fully healed, typically 6-8 weeks post-operatively, although this varies. We will advise during your initial assessment when treatment is appropriate to begin.
LYMPHATOUCH PRO FOR LYMPHOEDEMA
LymphaTouch Pro is widely used in the management of lymphoedema, whether cancer-related, post-surgical or idiopathic.
By combining negative pressure with mechanical vibration, the device helps stimulate lymphatic flow and reduce fluid build-up, supporting symptom management and improving comfort.
Treatment is gentle, non-invasive and complements other lymphoedema care, including compression and exercise. We work alongside any specialist lymphoedema services you may already be using.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR SESSION
Your first appointment includes:
- A full assessment of your scar, surrounding tissues and movement
